Week 10 Covid-19: Principal’s Update
May 29th 2020
We are so excited to be welcoming many of you back to Connaught on Monday, June 1st. This will be an exciting day for all of us, as we have greatly missed having the students (and you) around the school. I would like to share some more information about what you can expect on the first day. The school gates will open at 8:45 and we ask that each class come through a specific gate/area to ensure everyone’s safety. Please see the information specific to your child’s class below.
|Divisions 5, 6, 8||Please come directly to the area outside of the classrooms and have your child line-up in the space where they typically do.|
|Division 7||Please enter the school through the gate that is right beside Mrs. Bielby’s class and have your child line-up in the space where they typically do.|
|Division 1, 4||Please come through the gate that is closest to Mr. Eckert’s classroom (off London Street) and have your child line-up in the space where they typically do.|
|Division 2, 3||Please come directly to your child’s typical line-up spot.|
|Students of ESWs attending from 9:00-3:00||If your child’s class attends in the morning, please take them directly to their classroom. If your child’s class attends in the afternoon please bring your child to the designated line-up area outside of the office (you will see signs)|
We request that you try your best to have your child arrive on time. This will allow the children to all begin their day together, with their teacher. Teachers will be sharing important information with the children on the first day (like what new routines and schedules will look like) and we want all the children to be a part of these discussions. If your child is late for either the morning or afternoon session please bring them directly to the office.
For our families that chose to continue with remote learning, please be assured that your child will continue to receive the support they need. Teachers will still be providing meaningful learning online and connecting with our remote learners.
I know that many of you will have questions over the weekend, as all of this is new. Please do not hesitate to email me at email@example.com. There is also lots of informative information on our website (https://connaughtheightsschool.ca/) and the district website (https://newwestschools.ca/). June should be a really wonderful month in the school, and online. We are all looking forward to it.
