Week 9 Covid-19: Principal’s Update
May 22nd 2020
I hope that you had a good week and are able to enjoy some family time this weekend. We will be sending more information about the voluntary return to school on June 1st early next week. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. I can’t tell you how much we have appreciated everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.
For this week, I’d like to share the following update:
May 25th – May 29th:
- Your child’s teacher will be sending home a weekly learning plan. Please do the parts that work for your family. If you have any questions please reach out to your child’s teacher.
- I have read a new, great story. To share it with your child/ren, you can go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZCHLep36Q4
- The health and safety of our community of staff, students, and families is the top priority and we ask that you not visit the school at this time.
I want to take a moment to recognize all of you. We know that the last two months have been unusual, hard work and, at times, difficult. The staff at Connaught is so thankful to everyone for engaging with us and doing their best. Please remember as we enter week nine, and approach the June 1st voluntary return to classrooms, that each family and situation is unique. It is so important that you do what feels right for your family. I am here anytime to answer questions and support families. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
