Each year, school districts in the province provide opportunities for students to share how they are doing in areas of well-being, human connections, school experiences and community connectedness. Come and hear what your children are saying and learn how you can support them in areas of social and emotional well-being!
Dr. Kimberly Schonert-Reichl, the Director of the Human Early Learning Partnership in the School of Population and Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC is a renowned expert in the area of social and emotional learning (SEL) research with children and adolescents, particularly in relation to the identification of the processes and mechanisms that foster positive human qualities such as empathy, compassion, altruism, and resiliency.
Using student voice, Dr. Schonert-Reichl will explore health and well being for our children including healthy sleep, nutrition, connection with adults and community connectedness.
